Madrid, June 24, 2026
entrol, the manufacturer of EASA and FAA certified FNPT, FTD, and FFS flight simulators, has officially announced the successful certification and deployment of its first-ever Piaggio Avanti II FTD Level 2 simulator, delivered to DV Motion.
The certification, granted on May 5, 2026, represents a major technological milestone for the company. This project has evolved entrol’s proven simulation platforms to a higher level of fidelity, precisely replicating the unique flight dynamics, high-speed performance, and three-surface aerodynamic design of one of the most efficient twin-turboprop aircraft on the market.
Replicating an iconic design with maximum fidelity
Overcoming the aerodynamic and technical challenges of simulating the Piaggio P180 and its pusher engines, the entrol engineering team has managed to precisely reproduce both its high-speed flight sensations and on-runway behavior.
The certified cockpit is a replica of the aircraft, integrating the advanced Collins Pro Line 21 avionics suite. This strict level of fidelity ensures that pilots can train complex workflows, automation management, and emergency procedures with total realism, allowing for a direct and safe transfer of knowledge to the real aircraft.

Unprecedented immersion and critical mission training
To support this training ecosystem, the simulator integrates a state-of-the-art direct-view LED visual system. This technology eliminates traditional projection constraints, offering a flawless, seamless image with no warping. This visual immersion, combined with the characteristic sound reproduction of the PT6A turboprop engines, optimizes pilot decision-making in demanding high-density airport environments such as London City (EGLC) or Paris-Charles de Gaulle (LFPG).
Going beyond standard training, the certified FTD Level 2 is equipped with a vibration system to replicate tactile flight sensations and a cockpit smoke machine for high-stress emergency practice. A Debriefing Station and an iPad-based Instructor Operating Station (IOS) complete this advanced setup.
Nacho Navacerrada, entrol’s Sales Director, commented:
“The official certification of the Piaggio Avanti II FTD for DV Motion is a achievement of which we are immensely proud. It not only proves our ability to develop complex, high-fidelity simulators from the ground up based on our clients’ precise needs, but its successful compliance with strict regulatory standards also confirms that entrol is ready for any simulation challenge the market brings to us.”
